There are several ways to Search the Online Catalog

• AUTHOR Search is used when the name of the person who wrote to book is known. Be sure to enter the author's name last name first.
  For Example: Angelou, Maya
• TITLE Search is used when the title of the book is known.
• SUBJECT Search is the most common search used by students. Enter the subject being researched to find information on that subject.
• WORDS in the title Search is like a keyword search. If you have an idea what you are searching for, but are unsure to the subject heading, you can use the WORDS in a title search to find information.
• CALL NUMBER Search is used to check the status of a book that you already have the Call Number for.

For our example search we want to do a SUBJECT Search on "Earthquakes". Select "S" on the keyboard for Subjects to continue.
